Kubota D722 Engine - Neighbor had his d722 to overheat in his grasshopper mower, wants to know if an auxillary power unit d722 would match up good enough to run his mower. Just fyi, when i was doing a compression test on a d722 it was a challenge to avoid buying a proprietary kubota tester. No idea how many hours the engine had, but looks pretty. I bought it that way. None of the tester kits i could find had an adapter that would work. My d722 engine is generating air bubbles between the injection pump and return lines.

Grasshoppers ran d722's, so yes it will work, not all parts interchange but can be had from dealer. I was going to piece together another 722 for a long term project but a friend needs a mower like asap.

From what i noticed while swapping 902 in kubota rtv with 722 and i'm sure theres many other possibilities with other 722 with different spec numbers.!.cam 722 lacks.

Spent 6 years maintaining grasshoppers, three had d722 engines.sayin that, as long as engine will fit frame. Now the the engine starts up quickly and idles nicely, but there is no throttle, won’t raise up more than idle. After removing and reassembling the front cover, installing new throttle and stop solenoid springs, water pump ect. My d722 engine is generating.
