Jku Engine Cover Removal - I'm sorry, this doesn't actually deserve it's own thread, but i'm wondering if anyone else immediately removed the heat retention/water and dust retaining/super retarded looking. If this is your first oil change just be aware you need to be careful. It is definitely easier and cleaner to remove the cover rather than working through the filter cover access hatch. Has anyone driven their jk/jku without an engine cover for an extended period and if so did anything bad happen? Removed mine a few times to work on the jk. The hood liner is there to keep engine temps from damaging your hood's paint.
Has engine cover and was delivered in just 4 weeks and 2 days! Any help would be appreciated. A friend has a 2012 jk with 3.6 pentastar engine. Maybe they shouldn’t have saved on the plastic oil filter. With engine cover off, everything is easier.

The cover should come off fairly easily. I am removing this to have a custom airbrush work done by a friend of a friend.
